Grants for Producers and Organizations

The Black Theatre Alliance of Philadelphia (BTAP) offers grants to Black theatre organizations and producers in the Greater Philadelphia region for the presentation of a theatrical event now through March 31, 2022. 

Applications open October 22, 2021 at 10am. 

Grants will be awarded in the order in which eligible applications are received (a first-come, first-serve basis). Applications will close November 29, 2021 (or when funds are depleted).

Eligibility

-Eligible organizations must have an annual operating budget of less than $150,000

-While the micro-grants do not have to be used specifically to pay artists, artists must be paid for the project

-Applicants must provide evidence of budgetary and payment details at the time of application

-Black led organization with majority Black artistic team for project geared towards Black audiences 

Project must take place within 35-mile radius of Philadelphia’s City Hall.
